  Short chronological timeline of LC Sax

1945

A heavily battered saxophone came in the hands of Chang Lien-Cheng, after a few years of intensive research and hard work Lien-Cheng developed the first saxophone made in Taiwan. The sax was sold to a Filipino musician.

1945

The Chang Lien-Cheng Saxophone Factory was founded

1970

Lien-Cheng received an award for his work

1977

Mr. Chang Wen-Tsan took over the factory from his father - Chang Lien-Cheng.

1986

Founder Chang Lien-Cheng passed away.

2000

Launch of the "Lien-Cheng" brand in Taiwan

2002

Official opening of the Lien-Cheng Saxophone Memorial Hall

2004

Cooperation with TOYOTA publicity campaign.

2004

Cooperation with the Industrial Technology Research Institute.

2005

Former US President Bill Clinton received a LC saxophone during his visit in Taiwan.

2005

Improvement for the saxophone after the findings and results from the Industrial Technology Research Institute.

2008

Participated in the Shanghai International Music Exhibition.

 

2008

First European LC customer: a German music school

2013

Awarded the Taiwan Excellence Award.
